Tie-Dye

With tie-dying and bleaching your clothes all over TikTok and Instagram, I had to jump on the bandwagon. Not only is it the trendy thing to do right now, it takes up some time during these long quarantine days!

What you need for Tie-Dyeing:

Clothes to dye

Dye

Rubber Bands

Squirt Bottle

Warm Water

Bucket

Step 1:

Twist or fold your clothing depending on how you want your tie-dye to look. Check out here for folding techniques.

Step 2:

Mix your dye with hot water into a squirt bottle. The more dye to water ratio will make your dye darker. Check out here for Rit Dyes instructions.

Step 3:

Put the dye on as much of the clothing as you want (make sure to get both sides of the clothing).

Step 4:

Let your clothes sit. I had mine sit in the sun for 2 hours.

Step 5:

Rinse the clothes in warm water and then put them in the washing machine in warm water.
